2010 Sixth Annual Poster and Essay Contest

The Brazoria County MLK Celebration Committee is sponsoring a Poster & Essay Contest for all Brazoria County students. These contest are intended to motivate and inspire current generations to continue to strive for justice and equality. 

Theme for 2010 - "Love-Stand-Serve".

The theme must be the focus of all posters and essays entered in the contest.  Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three (3) contestants in each category. 

Entries will be accepted at any county library the following dates: December 17, 2009 -January 30, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. The contest awards program will be held on  Feb. 11, 2010 at the Angleton Recreation Center. 

Youth Essay Contest:  This contest is open to all students grades 4-12 in all public, private and parochial schools in Brazoria County.  Copies of the official rules and guidelines are available at all Brazoria County Libraries and can be downloaded below. 

Youth Poster Contest:  This contest is open to students ages 8-18 throughout Brazoria County.  Copies of the official rules and guidelines are available at all Brazoria County Libraries and can be downloaded below.

All posters and essays must be submitted between December 17, 2009 and January 30, 2010 at any Brazoria County Library.  No late posters and/or essays will be accepted.  Awards to be presented on February 11, 2010.
